THE BOATS

Maine Saltwater Outfitters takes pride in its watercraft. Each location provides a unique experience, and we have chosen boats that are appropriate to the conditions we might encounter and the areas we might visit.

On the Kennebec River, you can expect to fish out of an 18' Hewes Flats Skiff. The Hewes are rugged, well-engineered boats used around the world to chase the world's most powerful fish. Hewes' boats offer a unique combination of the ability to get into incredibly skinny water, while also handling large waves and wakes with unrivaled grace. And on a Hewes, you will never want for a casting deck. You'll have all the room you need and absolutely nothing will foul your line or complicate your fight with that monster striper. Our Hewes is powered by a 115 hp Yamaha engine so reliability is never in question.

On Casco Bay, we use our 20' Hydrasports Center Console. We have yet to find a more comfortable or stable center console. The Hydrasports offers a wide, safe boat with high sides and a deep-V hull for added stability. Our Hydrasports is powered by a 115 hp Yamaha engine for speed and reliability.

Of course, all of our boats are equipped with the latest in electronics and safety gear. GPS, VHF radio, depth and fish finders are standard equipment. And it goes without saying that Maine Saltwater exceeds Coast Guard regulations for safety, at all times. We welcome you aboard and guarantee a fun and safe trip.
